Artist Statement

I may be mad, but there’s magic in my fire.
As a visionary artist, a lover and a free spirit, I make art that connects to universal, yet intimate human experiences. I strive to capture how our inner energy and raw emotions shape the way we interpret a moment in life and to harness that energy. Pulling upon sacred geometry, personal experiences and symbols from the natural world, I portray the visionary and universal connectivity capacities beneath the surface in all our minds. I use vivid colors of the entire spectrum to express the emotional dynamics of human relationships, of feelings moving through time and space.
My painting medium is acrylic paint on canvas or found wood boards. I let the imagery evolve as the piece develops, seeing beyond my original idea. I enjoy not knowing what a piece will look like until it is done, allowing the process to be one of discovery and exploration. The fast-drying quality of acrylics enables each layer to drastically change the composition and matches my fast-paced thought process. Acrylic paint is very fluid, just like the moments I work to capture.
The past few years of my life have been full of change and growth. My art reflects my continuing journey of self-discovery. Committing to art and camper living full-time since 2017, I live a very simple life, challenging myself to create and adventure everyday. Practicing gratitude, patience, discipline, compassion and forgiveness is an important part of my journey to live in love.
I hope my art reminds viewers that we can always connect to the source, to love, at any moment.
Born and raised in Westford, Massachusetts, I knew since 3rd grade that I wanted to be an artist. Pursuing art school, I studied painting at New Hampshire Institute of Art, Manchester, NH. I then transferred to Westfield State University, Westfield, MA, where I earned a BA in Art, Spring 2014, Summa Cum Laude. I work full-time as an artist since 2017 and am available for commission work and creative opportunities that foster a passion for the arts in local communities.
